Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable

This is a temp to hire role. 

Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:

• Full cycle cash application, including coding payment remittances, posting payments to customer accounts, creating short payments, and chargebacks.
• Collection activities, such as customer calls and other correspondence.
• Proper identification, research, and coding of customer chargebacks, such as co-op allowances, shortages, shipping claims, returns, and compliance penalties.
• Prepare period-end account reconciliations and other month-end closing procedures.
• Assist with cash deposits, as needed.
• Assist with annual audit.

• Full understanding of Order to Cash cycle in a CPG environment.
• AA degree in Accounting or applicable relevant experience (2-3 years in AR department).
• Hands-on experience with large ERP (SAP or equivalent).
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines while possessing a high sense of urgency.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships, function as a team player, and thrive in a changing environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have the ability to multi-task, while maintaining composure and work in a fast-paced environment
