  • Oversee the processing of timely and accurate weekly, biweekly and monthly multi-state, non-union and union payrolls for company subsidiaries
  • Supervise and lead team of 5-6 payroll administrators
  • Review payrolls and transmit payroll files to ADP on weekly/biweekly bases
  • Audit labor files and reconciles expense import files into ADP prior to transmittal
  • Receive and translate payroll files and distribute reports to GL and accounting
  • Set up and review off cycle payments
  • Acts as liaison with ADP setting new codes, and out of cycle payroll schedules
  • Escalate complex questions to Payroll Director
  • Coordinates Workers Compensation and Multiple Work Site location reports on quarterly bases
  • Runs reports and interfaces to support benefits and other payroll data contingent programs
  • Provide analytical assistance to accounting department for inquiries related to payroll accounts (outstanding checks, wires, P&L)
  • Quarterly reconciliation of Equity Compensation
  • Assists payroll administrators is researching and correcting issues
  • Coordinates SUI rate changes, updates and investigates ADP charges to the rates on ADP invoices for accuracy
  • Coordinates quarter and year end activities
  • Assist to resolve any tax variances presented by the payroll tax accountant
  • Coordinates testing on new extensions, system upgrades, new calculation set ups, projects, data analyses
  • Ensure professional and timely customer service to internal, external and third parties

Job Requirements

  • 5 years’ progressive payroll experience with minimum of 2 years managing multi-state payroll with proven leadership ability
  • Proficiency with ADP PayForce or Vantage and ADPR reporting
  • Demonstrate understanding of Federal, State and Local payroll regulations and union contracts
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Communication skills with ability to effectively interact with employees and manager of the organization
  • Strong excel and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize task and projects effectively
  • Multistate, multi company, multi county experience is preferred
  • Large company experience required
  • CPP designation preferred
