RemX has a new Staff Accountant opening with an innovative and respected client. This team is passionate about their work, leaders listen, and opportunities are provided for you to learn and grow. They are presently located in Poway, but relocating to beautiful Carlsbad this November.

The Staff Accountant must be a self-starter, personable, and extremely detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize, think out of the box and effectively communicate to ensure efficient workflow processes. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and flexible to navigate in a fast-paced environment with changing and competing deadlines to manage priorities.

The primary responsibilities include processing payroll with our third-party vendor, assisting with A/P, A/R, and electronic deposits, reconciliations, sales reporting, final statement prep, and ensuring smooth daily office operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process payroll with third-party vendor and ensure federal and state compliance.
  • Assist with A/P and A/R to include check runs and electronic fund transfers.
  • Responsible for GL account reconciliations.
  • Responsible for monthly financial statement prep.
  • Responsible for sales tax filings.
  • Responsible for inventory pre-paid.
  • Support the finance team with the month end accounting close process.
  • Support the finance team with year-end close, audits and special projects.
  • Manage inter-company journal entries.
  • Manage product inventory adjustments in Sage 50.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with AP, AR, Inventory, and cost of goods sold “COGS”
  • Experience with Sage 50 and QuickBooks Pro environment preferred.
  • BA degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
