Description

Do you have accounting and/or finance experience? A well regarded company is looking for an Accounting Assistant 2 to join their team in the Sarasota area! This position is starting as a long term contract with the possibility of permanent placement and would start around $16.50 per hour!

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Balance and reconcile batch control totals with source documents or computer listings in order to locate errors, encode correct amounts, or prepare correction records.

Prepare itemized statements, ills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.

Reconcile and post receipts for cash received by various departments.

Perform bookkeeping work, including posting data and keeping other records concerning costs and shipments.

 

Job Requirements

-High School Diploma or equivalent required

-Associate Degree in accounting or related financial discipline a plus.

-2 to 4 years financial and/or accounting experience required.

-Must have Great Plains experience.

-Ability to do Journal Entries and Account reconciliations.
