Description

The Demand Planning/Global Procurement Analyst will ensure product availability and delivery performance to meet business commitments by using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. This position is responsible for assembling data, analyzing data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations, which support procurement planning and operations.

Position Responsibilities:

The following reflects the essential functions for this position, but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned:

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Analyze data and performing trend analysis and communicate the data variances
  • Interpret and evaluate monthly analyses of business trends
  • Work with the sales team and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy, understand forecast drivers and ensure targets are being met and exceeded
  • Effectively utilize analytical and problem solving skills to recognize problems in the supply chain and recommend alternate solutions
  • Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities
  • Update the sales team about product availabilities
  • Take ownership for the accuracy of the prepared and presented information with a high level of attention to detail

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Finance, Data Analytics or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Data Analysis, Procurement, and Project Management in a progressive and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, operations and financial data analysis
  • Strong alignment skills with the ability to communicate vision and gain alignment with stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, often with competing priority levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with thought leadership that drives strategy and execution
  • Detail oriented with strong project management skills
  • Sound interpersonal skills enabling the incumbent to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, vlookups, hlookups)
