Description

  • Become subject matter expert on health and welfare benefits needs across the organization;
  • Process employee enrollments, status changes, and COBRA qualifying events;
  • Respond to benefit inquiries regarding plan provisions, enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries;
  • Serve as liaison with third-party vendors to provide prompt assistance in resolving benefit issues;
  • Perform monthly auditing and bill reconciliation;
  • Monitor benefits system integrations to vendors. Partner with Talent Information System team and outside vendors to resolve data and integration issues;
  • Identify, recommend, and improve benefit system to ensure that overall performance is aligned with business objectives;
  • Assist with the execution of system changes (updates, new configurations), monitor reoccurring issues and participate in testing;
  • Become familiar with firm retirement plan offerings and leaves of absence processes and assist as needed; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred);
  • At least three years of experience in Benefits Administration;
  • Some customer-service experience (required);
  • Advanced knowledge of customer-service principles;
  • Fundamental to Advanced knowledge of benefit programs;
  • Fundamental knowledge of leaves of absence and retirement plan practices (preferred);
  • Fundamental knowledge of human resources laws and practices;
  • Fundamental knowledge of general payroll concepts;
  • Fundamental proficiency in human resource management systems (e.g.: WorkDay);
  • Fundamental proficiency in payroll systems (e.g.: ADP eTime);
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications is required; and
  • Advanced knowledge of related regulations (i.e., COBRA, HIPAA-HITECH, Section 125, qualifying family events, PPACA, ERISA, 401(k), 415).
