Receiving and processing medical records requests for all company locations.
Review and comprehend the medical records request and compile and classify the existing documentation within the patient’s electronic medical records as well as identify medical documentation needed in order to respond effectively and efficiently to incoming medical records requests.
Responsible for quality assurance checks of all medical documentation before submission and notifying the General Manager and Director, Revenue Cycle Credit Balances of any missing items, issues, or trends.
Observe company policies and all applicable laws and regulations as they relate to their job requirements.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
College or post-secondary education a plus
Experience in medical collections and a working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. Home infusion experience a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Office skills required: Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiency with 10-key calculator
Working knowledge of automated billing systems, experience with CPR+ and Zirmed preferred
Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding medical records
Ability to independently obtain and interpret information such as physician orders.
