RemX Irvine is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist for our client located in Irvine.  This is a company that is growing rapidly and looking for someone who is dependable and reliable and committed to this role.  Temp or Temp to Hire Offering $18.00-$24.00p/hr

 Accounts Payable Specialist Duties:

  • Enter and upload invoices into system
  • Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Prepare and perform check runs
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Validate and process expense reports
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Prepare 1099’s for employee’s and vendors

Job Requirements

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Organizational skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication, customer service and vendor relationship skills
  • Experience with SAP and/or Basware a plus
  • Knowledge of sales and use tax requirements a plus
