Manufacturing company with 100+ employees seeks dynamic, driven Human Resources professional to develop and manage our HR department.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

  • Talent development and management
  • Proactively engage with managers and supervisors to help develop and maintain their own skills and those of their subordinates
  • Work directly with employees to develop and maintain a motivated, engaged and high-performing workforce
  • Develop and run recruiting process to attract highly talented new hires – including job postings, conducting interviews, and working with management to select top candidates
  • Establish and maintain a recruiting and interviewing program that counsels managers on candidate selection, conducting interviews and selecting the best candidates to fill the position
  • Source contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees, search firms, or relocation services
  • HR support
  • Work closely with other members of the strategic management team, as a valuable team player committed to support the goals of the team and of the company
  • Develop and maintain a human resources system that meets top management information needs
  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
  • Provide support to managers and employees with general human resources tasks, including job descriptions, discipline and write-ups, and other HR functions
  • Analyze wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Federal and NJ employment laws and the ability to interpret those laws
  • Excellent communication skills – bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to effectively and reliably present accurate information and respond to questions from management and employees
  • Ability to communicate difficult information in a way that preserves dignity and respect for individuals
  • Strong interpersonal skills, integrity and ability to keep information confidential
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and use discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence clearly and professionally

Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years of experience in a managerial role in an organization of 50+ employees
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience is required
  • A certificate in human resources from an accredited institution preferred
