Description

We are seeking a Senior Investment Accountant for a contract opportunity with a well-respected company located in Richmond, VA. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing and reporting process
  • Journal entries
  • Perform complex account reconciliations
  • Identification and resolution of issues in compliance with audit requirements
  • Prepare income statements and balance sheet
  • Balance inter-company accounts
  • Participate in internal/external audits
  • Identify trends in investment data
  • Create investment disclosures for legal entities

Job Requirements

  • CPA required
  • 3-5 years accounting experience
  • Investment and insurance experience required
  • Experience in statutory accounting preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting with stocks, bonds and foreign currency
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Bloomberg, investment accounting or compliance software is a plus
  • Advanced used of EXCEL (v-lookups, pivot tables, SUMIF formulas, etc)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Solid communication skills
