Description

The Payroll Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of payroll.  This position uses Payroll, Tax, Human Resources, and Benefits administration knowledge while working closely with various HR departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform full cycle payroll processing 
  • Supervise payroll staff
  • Manage process for garnishment, child support and tax levies
  • Provide leadership and direction for the Payroll Team
  • Ensure all payroll related tax filings are done timely and accurately
  • Responsible for annual W-2’s
  • Produce payroll reports
  • Balance and post monthly payroll expenses into general ledger
  • Participates in annual 401K audit

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Accounting or Business degree strongly preferred

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS

  • Extensive knowledge of multiple HR/Payroll and time entry systems
  • CPP certification required
  • Previous UltiPro experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of wage and hour laws and regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience with payroll for more than 1,000 employees

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years full cycle automated payroll processing experience required
  • 3 + years managing a payroll department required
  • Previous multi-state payroll experience required
  • Previous 401k plan experience required
  • Experience managing staff and cross functional teams required
  • Project management experience required
