Accounting Clerk

This Temp to Perm position has a dual focus of assisting the Controller with accounts payable and accounts receivable while also performing administrative tasks. The role will also assist Human Resources with clerical tasks while maintaining complete confidentiality.

It is crucial for the Accounting Clerk/ Administrative Assistant to be punctual, maintain confidentiality, have a sense of professionalism, and present a friendly approach while performing all duties and responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:

Accounts Payable:

  • Enter invoices from vendors, set up new vendors
  • Issue checks on a weekly basis, scan checks and backup before mailing
  • Issue re-verification checks daily; distribute invoices to department heads for approval
  • Place checks into envelopes and deliver to the mail room
  • Update Excel spreadsheets
  • Other clerical duties as needed including scanning, filing and some phone answering

Accounts Receivable:

  • Scan invoices to computer files
  • Print Receivables Aging Report each Monday
  • Interact with clients regarding questions

Administration:

  • Meets and assists all in-office visitors (customers, clients, vendors, job applicants, employees, and other visitors) and contacts the appropriate Company contacts
  • Issues and controls visitor badges and records visitor’s arrival and departure times
  • Assist with incoming/outgoing mail processes
  • Performs incidental clerical duties for President and other members of Company leadership
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisor including scanning, filing and some phone answering

 

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of A/P and A/R experience preferred
  • Prefer AA degree; will substitute experience for education
