Electronic Repair Technician

Our client has an immediate need for an experienced Electronic Repair Technician.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, updating, diagnosing and repairing products returned for service or annual calibration.




  • Work from checklists diagrams, schematics, drawings, kits, diagnostic protocols, specifications and other documentation.
  • Perform essential upgrades on a wide range of electronic measuring instruments.
  • Disassemble and reassemble electronic subsystems and simulate operations.
  • Test and troubleshoot using computer software and test equipment/fixtures.
  • Analyze units and diagnose electronic or mechanical failures, which occur during any manufacturing or customer service operation.
  • Prepare required documentation and route units as required to maintain schedules and communicate related issues.

Job Requirements



  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in a technical field OR a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of electronic repair experience.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to follow work instructions.
  • Must be able and available to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to utilize time efficiently and be self-motivated.
  • Strict adherence to ESD practices.
  • Must be able to use the following (not limited to):
    • Digital multimeters, diagnostic software, hand tools.
    • Electronic component level diagnostics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of lasers and optics is a plus.


Physical Requirements:


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk and communicate, use hands/fingers, feel and reach with arms. This position requires the ability bend or stoop as necessary and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
