Description

We are seeking a Sr. Procurement Specialist to work with a major financial company on a 6+ month assignment in the Torrance area. This position will be responsible for the selection and management of suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Complete detailed analysis of supplier’s responses
  • Manage contract negotiations
  • Monitor vendor performance and contract timelines
  • Manage the RFP/Bidding process with values up to 10mm per supplier

 

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Bachelors in Business, Finance or related field
  • 7-10 years of procurement experience including management of the RFx process
  • Excellent written a verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • MS office proficient, expert knowledge of Excel (e.g., financial modeling) required
  • Knowledge and experience with consumer financial protection bureau regulations is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with procurement and systems such as PeopleSoft or Ariba
