The Traffic Office Specialist is responsible for:
Creating, monitoring, and completing inbound/outbound shipments in the Logistics Operations System. This individual is also accountable to ensure that inbound/outbound shipment service improvements are made to exceed the expectations of the customer. This role is a critical foundation of the Logistics account operations team and is one in which strong communication, stress tolerance, and organizational skills are key.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for tracking, tracing, and expediting moves. - Create, monitor, and complete shipments in ONE NETWORK. Accountable to schedule time specific deliveries with inbound carriers, as well as, scheduling back-haul freight movements. Monitor and ensure all outbound shipments are made meeting all performance criteria. - Point of contact for DDS provider. - Coordinate all shipping needs for primary inbound/outbound carriers. . Accountable for preparing all necessary paperwork and documentation. - Create necessary reports at the request from company or the customer. - Coordinate with carrier to move empty trailers equipment. - Point of contact for claims to resolve any issues dealing with inbound/outbound material claims. - Resolve all transportation / shipping issues promptly. Responding to customer calls to ensure critical success factors are achieved work experience.
EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years- experience in a customer service or operations work environment preferred.
SKILLS: Knowledge of logistics industry preferred Proficient computer skills i.e. excel. Customer service skills Effective and efficient oral and written communication skills Ability to develop relationships through interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Take initiative, a self-starter Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high pressure environment. Attention to detail is a must.
