Description

IMMEDIATE opening for a Property Tax Specialist to assist the day to day operations of the Sales and Property Tax Department. Will work on department’s annual report, licensing renewal and help with Sales Finance and Business License filings for office location changes. 

  • Perform analyses for Department’s value, expense, and tax function processes.
  • Update License Compliance and NMLS.
  • Research and file all Unclaimed Property returns for all entities.
  • Prepare Unclaimed Property due diligence letters and reissue unclaimed checks for all entities.
  • Review and coordinate financial reporting and data integration requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of property tax budgets, including jurisdictional research and expense analysis.
  • Communicate status of analysis projects with appropriate documentation and perform follow-up until projects are complete.
  • Other Tax Accounting functions as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or Business Administration 
  • 3+ years experience with business licensing
  • Highly preferred but not required: experience with unclaimed property handling, property tax annual report filing, multi-state experience (multi counties / cities)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
