Customer Service Representative Job Description:

  • Communicate with customers via phone and email
  • Monitor/manage/report inventory levels to customer to maximize supply
  • Handle complaints concerning services rendered and coordinate the appropriate corrective action to satisfy customer
  • Receive orders from customers and accurately enter into database and submit purchase order with vendor
  • Submit orders via vendor portal
  • Provide order update information to customers
  • Quote/schedule/track customer shipments and deliveries
  • Coordinate customer pick-ups by providing dates and times from vendor
  • Work with internal departments with order forecasting and production planning

Job Requirements

Customer Service Representative Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of customer service, order entry experience (non-retail)
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Good communication skills – writing and verbal
