Description

Our client has an immediate need for a Salesforce Business Analyst.  This is a contract position but there is an excellent chance of it going permanent down the road.  This is a Technical Business Analyst position.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Responsible for requirements gathering, the clear definition of user stories, Salesforce configuration, coordinating and completing user acceptance testing, creation of effective training material and post deployment support. Works with the internal training organization to ensure new functionality is clearly documented and is reflected accurately in training materials for the user community.
  • Completes all configuration tasks for user stories within Salesforce, AppExchange products, or other cloud-based technologies related to Salesforce. Engage and coordinate with technology team as needed.
  • Develop and document all current and future workflow for business processes and procedures
  • Evaluates core processes and creates key initiatives for process improvements and efficiencies, both process and systemic.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and technology team to design a solution that will meet business requirements and fulfill user story requirements.
  • Ensures and verifies that solutions meet the business requirements. Accepts/approves changes into production.
  • Facilitates key meetings with key stakeholders including requirement sessions, system demos, user acceptance testing, and end user training.
  • Provides key analytics for the Operational Services organization.
  • Drive the Test & Learn strategic roadmap and promote data-driven decision-making.
  • Translate data into actions and insights through direct dialogue, reporting and dashboards.
  • Drive field adoption of tools and the operationalizing of data into specific actions and strategies. Ensure consistency of usage and best practices for the tool are followed amongst the user base.
  • Aid in training of new users, growing the Salesforce skill set across the company.
  • Develop the Test & Learn strategic roadmap including launch, governance, training, adoption & measures of success.
  • Complies with technical standards, policies and procedures
  • Coordinate data deployments with technology team, ensures change control process is followed.

 

  • Metrics:
    • This role will be influential in identifying, defining and reporting KPIs and critical success metrics.
    • Drive full operator adoption of metrics that evolve from insights to actions.

Job Requirements

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • 6 + years working with Salesforce, implementing, configuring and administering.
  • 6+ years in a business analyst or equivalent role requiring the translation of user needs to system functionality.
  • BS or MS in a technical discipline.
  • Salesforce.com Administrator or Developer Certification preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Sandboxes, Integrations and Application Development is a plus
  • Salesforce Service, Sales and Marketing cloud implementation is a plus
  • Expert knowledge/user of visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.), SQL and data hierarchies
  • Experience working with senior decision makers
  • Proven analytical background, able to detect and solve issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal), excellent presentation skills
  • Independent thought leader and a strong influencer that works well within a highly collaborative, team-oriented structure. Must have the necessary experience, critical judgment skills and demonstrated effectiveness in delivering timely results, sometimes in the absence of complete data.
