Assists nursing with the lifting/moving of patients when necessary to ensure a smooth transport process for the customers. Transport patients in gurneys or wheelchairs in a safe and courteous manner. The Transporter's functions include positioning, transferring and transporting patients to and from various departments or locations by wheelchair, bed, or gurney.

  • Other job tasks include equipment maintenance and cleaning or disinfection
  • Assist with the department dispatcher as needed
  • Assignments may vary between day and night shift, and participation in weekend coverage is required.
