RemX's corporate office is looking for a Scrum Master to join our engineering organization in the Dallas, TX area. This is a permanent, full time position.
Scrum Master Primary Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity and innovation
- Promote team accountability
- Participate and support engineering and software delivery
- Empower and encourage teams to self-organize
- Organize and facilitate stand-up, review, retrospective, planning, grooming and any other scrum related meetings
- Facilitates Scrum of Scrums ceremony to identify & track dependencies and program impediments & risks
- Assist with internal and external communication as necessary
- Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and help drive improvement with other scrum masters and IT PM
- Coordinate with vendors where appropriate
- Identify and remove impediments to prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal
- Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
- Ensure the team strives to make each increment of functionality potentially releasable
- Collaborate with appropriate teams to plan releases and manage a healthy product backlog
- Responsible for managing complex programs with multiple cross team integration points.
- Cultivate a team that recognizes the value of continuously inspect and adapt for areas of improvement
- Identify emerging best practices and opportunities to help continuously advance agile methods and practices to improve sprint team(s)
- Assess Agile Maturity (via Agile Maturity Model) and develop & implement action plan for improvement in agile maturity
Scrum Master Requirements:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Previous experience as a Scrum Master for software engineering teams
- Motivated, high performer, demonstrated ability to influence and lead
- Practical experience scaling Scrum and partnering with other teams to monitor cross team dependencies
- Experience with JIRA issue tracking system is a plus
- Expertise in Agile / Scrum development methodologies & tools (Jira / MS Teams)
- Detailed understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile software development practices
- Participates and/or leads Scrum Master Community of Practice or Scrum of Scrum; as well as mentors other Scrum Masters
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable achievement in transitioning a team into Scrum and increasing adoption/maturity over time
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently with limited supervision
- Strong organization and time management skills
