Summary:

Assist Planner Supervisor to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory for a specific part range or part family. Responsible for providing daily communication to Customer Service on assigned parts utilizing the ERP system (SAP and Excel used daily) to ensure adequate supply. Assist in determining the desired inventory levels for finished goods down to safety stock levels. Works closely with Customer Service, Purchasing and all Manufacturing department leaders to ensure smooth product flow and on time delivery.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists Planner Supervisor in releasing shop orders, checking parts, tracking builds and ensuring on time delivery and working with production on issues.
• Work Order management from creation to completion.
• Assist in creating/updating various customer reports (shortage reports, Excel spreadsheets etc)
• Assist and monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including production performance metrics to the requested production schedule.
• Confers with production staff concerning part design and processes required to ensure efficient production methods and on time delivery.
• Assisting with creating SOP for the role, this is a newly created role and ideas regarding organization and workflow will be encouraged and welcome
• Ad hoc projects and reporting as needed

• 2-3 years of previous Logistics / Procurement / Production Assistance experience is preferred (Med Device / Pharma / Life Science are a plus) or Bachelors’ Degree and relative education
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (V-look ups and pivot tables). ERP experience preferred (Client uses SAP)
• working in an FDA environment is highly desired
