RemX is seeking someone to join the Human Resource team of a thriving pharmaceutical organization located in San Diego, CA. We are looking for a polished professional with Benefits and Wellnessexperience and excellent HRIS technical skills, preferably with Life Science experience in a Publicly traded company, to help support the Human Resource department. This position is newly created due to growth; excellent benefits and work culture for a company that is leading the way with their Scientific discoveries. You will be responsible for:

  • Serve as first point of contact in the People department for any and all Benefits related employee inquiries
  • Prepares employee Benefits packets and assists with the tracking and processing of benefit payment; ensure good documentation and accuracy in HRIS systems; become an HRIS expert for the team
  • Respond to all inquires from employees regarding LOA’s (inclusive of all FLMA and WC); be a point of contact for Stock equity inquiries, 401k etc
  • Manage wellness programs and activities
  • Assist with scheduling meetings between departments and with vendors
  • Be a liaison between HR, Finance, and employees on all HRIS ad-hoc reporting needs
  • May also be asked to aid other departments within Human Resources as needed

Job Requirements

Experience Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, HR or related field; PHR or other certs desired though not a requirement
  • 5+ years of Benefits and HRIS expertise for a mid-sized organization in high-growth mode
  • Experienced with a People Department in a Life Science organization
  • Background in a Publicly Traded company, SOX control understanding and any stock equity program exposure are desired
  • Excellent communication skills and extremely detail oriented, organized, independent and proactive but able to collaborate well with colleagues and Leadership
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (preference for ADPWFN and/or Ceridian, any implementation experience is a plus)
  • Outstanding customer service experience in dealing with all employees and outside contacts
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information respectfully
