ACCOUNTATNT DUTIES:

  • Posts entries from expenditure worksheets to appropriate ledgers for each account.
  • Provides technical assistance to grant recipients in the areas of financial management and compliance with federal regulations.
  • Ensures reimbursement requests are reconciled to grant budgets.
  • Prepares routine working papers, schedules, exhibits and summaries indicating the extent of financial review of forms 270 and 269.
  • Reviews reprogramming requests for posting to existing grants.
  • Examines a variety of accounting documents to verify accuracy of computations and compliance with applicable policies and procedures. 
  • Processes and prepare expenditure forms for approval and disbursement of funds.
  • Prepares regular and special financial reports and statements utilizing spreadsheets, databases and accounting software.
  • Provides training on Financial Assistance Unit procedures.
