Our client, a division of a well-established, global, organization is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative (Technical – electromechanical) to join their team. The selected candidate will be managing assisting Outside Sales, Sales Engineers and Channel Managers, with Sales Related duties to include updating CRM, scheduling appointments, researching leads in their commercial division; electro-mechanical experience and knowledge is desired in order to best understand and learn schematics and pricing details for orders.  This is a temp to hire opportunity located onsite in Poway, CA, paying $28/hr that is open due to growth; excellent foot in the door opportunity!

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and email
  • Understand customer needs and requirements; should have a background in a technical environment to best understand company/customer engineering schematics and parts required for orders
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Outside Sales team members for further development and closure
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
  •  Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest; update all activity and information gathered in ERP/CRM
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Assist with distributor sales
  • Will be responsible for following up with customers via email and over the phone; excellent communication skills are required
  • May occasionally provide Power Point presentations to prospective customers on behalf of outside sales rep; skilled in MS Office Suite and previous CRM experience is desired

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

  • Experience and/or educational knowledge of electromechanical engineering is highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • 1-2 years experience in a Technical Inside Sales position
  • Must be a team player and comfortable within a very team goal oriented Sales Culture
  • Articulate communication skills
  • MS Office Suite, Word/Excel/PowerPoint; CRM experience
  • Desire to learn and grow with a knowledgeable team; plenty of room for growth both in position and pay over the long-term
