Accounts Payable Specialist in Largo, FL

Pay range $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Position will become remote upon completion of training!

Position Overview:

Act as an administrative support in accounts payable; complete payment process, verify and reconcile invoices.

Pay rate is dependent upon Education and experience

Essential Job Functions:

• Open mail and match payments to invoices
• Pay vendors by verifying, scheduling and preparing checks
• Resolve issues with purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies
• Maintain accounts payable ledger
• Maintain and archive payment records and document.
• Protect organization by keeping information confidential
• Other administrative tasks as assigned

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Process PO and Non PO invoices.

Weekly cash spending reconciliation.

Verify account discrepancies by obtaining information from vendors and follow up by communicating discrepancies to vendors.

Resolve payment discrepancies with buyers in PO, contracts and invoices.

Verify payments and mail checks to vendors.

Reconcile A/P accounts and reports.

Review and process employee expenditures.

Generate yearly vendor 1099 forms.

Support all financial, custom and bank audits as needed.

Assist in recording journal entries.

Maintain and archive payment records and documentations.

Verify completeness of AP for month end close process.

Protect organization by keeping company information confidential

Distribute and open incoming mails.

Other administrative tasks as they are assigned.

Assist in special projects as they are assigned.
