Part Time, Pharmacist position in Public Health available immediately!
This position will manage cold chain, receipt and distribution of all types of COVID-19 vaccination. Duties include but are not limited to monitoring vaccine being stored, receipt of vaccine shipments, distribution of vaccine for use by public health staff. Receipt, inventory, and cold chain management of unused vaccine vials from public health staff. Answering vaccine related questions from public health staff and the public. Working as part of the local public health vaccination team and performing additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- Receives COVID-19 vaccine, inspecting for damage ad temp stability
- Properly store and inventory COVID-19 vaccine
-Coordinate with staff to manage receipt and distribution of COVID-19 vaccine
-Produce weekly vaccine inventory and temp reports
- Checks orders received from vaccine distributors daily for accuracy and damage
-Monitors vaccine inventory ensuring vaccine is used within appropriate timeframes
-Removes recall COVID-19 vaccine from stock; places recall drug in "returned" box to send to wholesaler or manufacturer
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D. degree; with at least three (3) years of pharmacy-related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, ad abilities for this position.
Cold chain knowledge preferable but not required. Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List, Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA). Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
