RemX is seeking a Sr Payroll Analyst to fill an immediate need with our client in the Carlsbad, CA area. This position is paying $35-40/hr and is a contract position approximately 4 to 6 months to assist withpayroll functions and navigating an implementation to ADP. This is REMOTE opportunity but will require the ability to commute to office periodically for meetings or if a return to onsite occurs during the duration of the contract. Job Description:

• Coordinate and process bi-weekly multi-state payroll (CA and NY), weekly union payroll, monthly commission payroll, workers compensation, vacation/sick time, etc; volume is approximately 1500 ee’s split with another rep
• Processes Concur Solutions expense reimbursement as well as bonus/spiff site
• Handles garnishments and wage withholding notifications
• Assists with year-end procedures including, Wage and Tax Statement (W-2) preparation, and reconciliation.
• Monthly payroll journal entries
• All other general accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years payroll/accounting experience
• 2 years’ experience handling multi-state payroll
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
• Bachelors’ Degree a plus
• ERP experience a plus; previous implementation experience is desired
• Experience with union payroll preferred
• In depth knowledge of Excel (ability to create, manipulate and analyze reports)
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
