RemX has partnered with a global supply chain management company to assist in their search for a remote Supply Chain Specialist. The Supply Chain Specialist will remotely support the Sourcing team in their day-to-day activities with data gathering and presentation, escalation support, vendor interface and more. Remote Supply Chain Specialist Job Description:

  • Develop and apply knowledge of supply chain basics, legal requirements, and ethical conduct to all supply chain activities
  • Under the guidance of a senior team member or department manager, learn and become competent in developing and preparing supplier metrics, spend data, savings trackers, bid packages / RFQs, and supplier price lists
  • Work in partnership with Procurement and Accounts Payable team members to assist with invoice issue resolutions
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key suppliers
  • Work with Procurement group to establish and maintain blanket purchase orders where applicable
  • Contact suppliers to obtain competitive price, determine availability, terms, and delivery schedule regarding specific projects; evaluate quotes from various sources and recommend awards
  • Work with suppliers in support of all procurement efforts, delivery, and/or quality, including problem resolution and material expedites

Job Requirements

Remote Supply Chain Specialist Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge and experience of supply chain practices and procedures
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of relevant experience is preferred
  • Ability to maintain an effective liaison with vendors, management, staff, and co-workers
  • Ability to learn and gain knowledge of the integrated procurement and database systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
