RemX is working with a manufacturing client located in West Chester PA. They are seeking a supply chain analyst. 

 

The Strategic Supply Chain  Analyst II will provide preliminary sales information based on current and projected market dynamics, market opportunities, knowledge of in-stock inventory costs, industry supplier sales trends and structures; and the use of internal analysis applications and tools.  Upon request, the Strategic Supply Chain  Analyst II will perform research to validate sales quotations for accuracy and sustainability of profits throughout the life of the contract. In support of succession planning, the Strategic Supply Chain  Analyst II will provide guidance and mentoring to entry and intermediate level Analysts I, and will assist in all areas of the department, as trained.

 

  • Know, understand and incorporate the Wesco philosophy, values, vision  and strategic sourcing  strategies in all business  behavior,  practice and decisions
  • Meet, develop and maintain a strong, beneficial working relationship with Wesco suppliers, gaining valuable market knowledge, as applicable
  • Work with Strategic Supply Chain  management to develop product price strategies, including segment strategies for the various markets and channels
  • Coordinate proposal development with the Purchasing  teams to process contract bids (with minimal guidance), utilizing  internal sales  analysis tools, applications and strategies, on a bid-by-bid basis
  • Work directly with internal/external customers on a regular basis, providing timely, appropriate and accurate responses to inquiries and requests
  • Monitor and track internal bid due dates and other bid requirements
  • Download, organize and  review market  resources, baseline price information and market trend data; to report inconsistencies and opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through adjusted sales strategies
  • Review inventory levels and/or source vendor for best sales
  • Prepare vendors Request For Quotation (RFQ's), as applicable to the sales process
  • Ensure adherence to customer approvals and quality requirements
  • Ensure market changes, affecting relevant sales  information, flows down to sales blankets, base sales and current open orders, when applicable
  • Maintain files for proposals, awards, contracts, contract amendments and other related documents
  • Coordinate information as needed with sales, purchasing, quality, and other appropriate departments
  • Participate in and practice continuous improvement and/or process improvement efforts
  • Actively pursue and develop a plan through the use of Intranet tools and programs, sales training programs, self assessment tools, and relevant training courses, to increase knowledge and proficiency in all job requirements 
  • Attend or participate in pricing or sales meetings, as requested; attend company-sponsored meetings, training or events, as required 

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge and extensive expertise in Wesco products and contractual requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing abilities, resulting in profitable long-term contracts
  • Strong, active supplier contacts and relationships with reliable (approved) Wesco suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize and offer process improvements for internal pricing systems and applications
  • Strong knowledge of Wesco's Corporate Pricing policies, procedures and practices
  • Proven competence in Strategic Supply Chain Analyst II capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, lead and motivate less experienced team members to excellence
