RemX is hiring a Group Commissions Clerk in Franklin, TN. The Group Commissions Clerk is an integral contributor to the billing processes in a high volume financial shared services environment supporting an exciting collection of hotel properties across North America. 

Onsite: Franklin, TN

Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-4pm or 8am- 5pm

Pay rate: $23-24 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for our third-party partners and hotel sales leaders for all matters related to advance and final group commissions payments
  • Calculates and submits for payment all group commissions owed to our valuable third-party meeting planners for placing group business at our hotels
  • Upholds all company and industry standards pertaining to PCI compliance, guest confidentiality, and accounting best practices
  • Calculates and submits for payment all prepaid and final group commissions owed to third party planners and corporate partners
  • Reconciles and maintains worksheet of commissions expense to ensure proper accruals are recorded each accounting period
  • Collaborates with other Billing Services and hotel team members to resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintains strong relationships with hotel Finance, Sales, and Conference Services team members to ensure client needs are understood and met
  • Ensures all hotel and vendor inquiries are researched and responded to with high sense of urgency
  • Accountable for achievement of metrics and targets associated with the position
  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
  • Required to attend all training sessions and meetings
  • Ability to perform “Physical Requirements” as explained below

 

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • Education:  High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience:  1-2 years customer-facing work experience in a hospitality or finance environment
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to read, write and speak English effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Ability to work effectively, maintain composure and make decisions in stressful situations
  • Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to perform both standard and intermediate spreadsheet functions using Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in windows-based computer programs to include e-mail, internet and word processing applications
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new computer applications
  • General knowledge of mathematics and accounting principles
