Description

RemX is partnered with an exceptional healthcare organization to hire an Office Clerk who will report to the Clinic Practice Manager to effectively manage specialist referrals while maintaining information within the EMR system. The successful candidate will also assist with front desk operations. This is 100% onsite.  

  • Manage external referrals, reconcile information needed while meeting related deadlines.
  • Communicate with external physician offices as they relate to submitted referrals.
  • Provide outstanding patient customer service and patient care.
  • Follow established referral guidelines while maintaining policies, privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Update data in the EMR as it relates to patient records, hospitalizations, registrations, demographics, insurance, consults, etc.
  • Coordinate information needed with insurance companies.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ year of clerical experience in a Medical / Healthcare-related role
  • Skilled in supporting patients, physicians, and medical office support staff
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Highly preferred: experience in referral management/coordination, medical insurance
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Reliable, dependable with track record of excellent attendance
