RemX is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable for our client located in the North County area for a Direct hire position paying $27-30/hour DOE. You will be responsible for timely and accurate processing of payables, service agreements, preparing 1099’s, and other daily accounting department procedures as necessary in a fast paced, high-volume environment. JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Process invoices, including coding to general ledger account, and maintain AP
• Daily bank reconciliation
• Analyze balance sheet and maintain appropriate month end work papers
• Maintain payment schedules and select invoices for weekly check run
• Prepare vendor credit applications, W-9 forms and resale certificates, maintain related files
• Assist other departments with data entry and project

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be an advanced Excel user (experienced with VLOOKUP and pivot tables)
• High school diploma minimum; at least 3 years of experience in A/P and general accounting with a matching is required in a high-volume environment (approx. 500 invoices per week)
• Ability to understand debits and credits; accounting software experience
• Ability to handle rapidly changing and conflicting priorities
• Fast and accurate typing/data entry skills
• Excellent communication skills and extremely detail oriented, organized, independent and proactive
