Sr. Accountant

A CPA firm is looking for their next Sr. Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong accounting professional who seeks to provide various types of accounting, audit and tax services primarily for the non-profit industry.

As the Sr. Accountant you will be responsible for:

• Communicate directly with clients on accounting, auditing and tax matters
• Grant administration for a grant making foundation
• Process accounting transactions, reconcile bank accounts, prepare monthly journal entries and maintain general ledger
• Supervise staff accountants/bookkeepers
• Prepare annual filings for public charities and private foundations
• Perform audit and review services primarily for nonprofit organizations
• Prepare financial statements including disclosures.

• Degree in Accounting or similar field; CPA a plus
• Experience with QuickBooks, Excel and SAGE software
• Experience working in the nonprofit sector
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Motivated self-starter
