BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / ACCOUNT MANAGER
Expanding logistics company is seeking a Business Development / Account Manager to join their expanding team. Generous salary, bonus, great benefits, family feel, laid back-office environment. Territory will range from Rock Hill, SC to the Raleigh, NC area.
TYPE: Direct Hire
HOURS: Monday- Friday 8a-5p- in office one day a week
YOUR DUTIES FOR THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT /ACCOUNT MANAGER:
- Develop appropriate territory and account-specific sales plan
- Will Manage the entire sales process and close the deal
- Presentations and demonstrations from the company portfolio
- Manage sales pipeline
- Expand customer base
- Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Generate freight bookings that match the strength of the company
- Quote rates based on market conditions and historical data
- Hit weekly and monthly goals set forth by you and the company
- Develop domestic and international transportation and warehousing business
- Seek out profitable accounts and reduce unprofitable ones.
- Obtain and prepare bid packages and any other special projects
- Use CRM to record all sales development activities
- Spend time with customers and prospect through lunches, dinners, and entertainment
- Conduct weekly/monthly meetings regarding goals and performance
- Work with operations on any services issues and cargo claims with your customers
- Work with the accounting team to resolve any billing issues
- Provide an accurate sales forecast each quarter.
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED FOR THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / ACCOUNT MANAGER:
- Minimum of 5+ equivalent commercial, sales and business development experience preferably in freight forwarding sales
- CRM experience
- Proven track record
- Hunter mentality
