Responsibilities:
- Main duty is to submit and resolve health insurance claims to multiple payers
- Process patient information efficiently
- Review diagnosis, procedure codes, and charges for accuracy
- Request and obtain additional patient information and assignment when needed
- Verify patient insurance eligibility for services
- Ensure accurate insurance information is recorded
- Update insurance information in the proper system
- Process and submit claims timely and appropriately
- Send all necessary information and documents to payer
- Follow-up on claims daily
- Ensure claims are adjudicated within14 business days
- Complete weekly explanation of Aged A/R
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of college or equivalent work experience preferred
- Two years of healthcare accounts receivable
- Knowledgeable of private health insurance
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Organized and detail-oriented
