Essential Duties

  • Perform all activities necessary to process weekly payrolls, including filing tax reports, processing levies and garnishment, reviewing ADP integration data for accuracy, preparing payroll transactions, and preparing special reports.
  • Performing bi-weekly and weekly payroll for 165 employees.
  • Prepare all payroll-related reports and distribute them to appropriate departments (HR, Accounts Payable, etc.).
  • Prepare federal, state, and local payroll tax returns on a quarterly basis.
  • Process 401K contributions and payments.
  • Perform compliance checks on payroll related matters (against both legal and company policy requirements) and identify violations.
  • Establish/maintain employee payroll records according to policy and in compliance with local/state/federal regulations.
  • Complete documentation as required by the Department of Labor.
  • Handle company petty cash payouts
  • Reconcile benefit invoice with payroll deductions in preparation for invoice payment.
  • Provide necessary support to human resources, accounts payable and payroll-related and tax-related vendors.
  • Review and reconcile company payroll and benefit invoices, as necessary.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in payroll/accounting role
  • ADP Payroll expertise preferred
  • Multi-State payroll experience a must
  • Experience managing multi-state payroll required
  • Intermediate Excel skills required
  • Experience with tax withholding familiarity and garnishment processes and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
