OCEAN EXPORT SPECIALIST
TYPE: Full-time – 100% in office

YOUR DUTIES FOR THE OCEAN EXPORT SPECIALIST WILL INCLUDE:
- Will receive, process, and execute export bookings
- Process amendments request and bookings with a 24-hour time
- Communicate with customers / truckers if there will be a delay
- Communicate with Sales when a booking is requested and there are no existing rates
- Dispatch drivers
- Follow-up on containers loaded and returned
- Handle issues with lines and terminals
- Entry of sell and buy rates into INFOX
- Airfreight & LCL
- Receive demurrage /detention bills and research to identify responsible party
- New vendor set up
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED FOR THE OCEAN IMPORT / EXPORT SPECIALIST:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- 2 or more years of experience in ocean export
- Understanding of Import Regulations or other government agency regulations that govern exports.
- Export forwarder experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
