Receive, review, and process submitted claims paperwork
Assist carrier partner and/or customer service with investigation of cargo claims
Serve as primary point of contact for questions on operations’ best practices, broker and carrier liability.
Oversee the filing of all claims using the EZ Claims software or current claims platform
Lead and oversee updates to the claim’s platform with current claims status
Complete weekly claim audits
Receive checks from carriers, and requests customer payments from the A/P team
Review carrier claims denials to ensure accuracy and escalate as needed
Understand overall insurance and claim platform, limits of liability, and carrier rules/tariffs
Negotiate with carriers and adjusters as needed to resolve claims and obtain the best possible result for HD Supply and our shipping partners
Provide claim resolution details to Director and VP of Risk Management.
