Our client located in Oceanside is looking for a Sr. Buyer/Planner. This is a great opportunity with a stable company that provides excellent pay and benefits, this position will be 100% ONSITE. Direct Hire position offering $79-112K. DOE.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute daily/weekly process to review and maintain MRP suggested inventory levels.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy for purchased parts in the ERP system.
- Search for suppliers with better quality and/or lower costs for existing parts and services.
- Negotiate best price, quality, lead time and service from suppliers.
- Generate and follow up on purchase orders until invoiced and closed.
- Take immediate action to resolve or avoid issues which could impede production or have a negative financial impact.
- Participate in the supplier management program.
- Visit suppliers to develop business relationships and seek opportunities to benefit.
- Provide timely and efficient materials planning.
- Maintain metrics and generate reports as needed.
- Analyze and implement MRP/MPS to publish a weekly production schedule.
- Monitor weekly production schedules and operations schedule adherence.
- Maintain sufficient inventory of finished goods and subassemblies to support a >95% fill rate to customers, both internal and external.
- Collaborate with Production managers and Supervisors to optimize shop orders flow and improve efficiency metrics.
- Monitor, and maintain appropriate PPV levels.
