This is a temporary position working a hybrid schedule (fully onsite during training period; then onsite 2 days/week)

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm (37.5 hour work week)

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and processing claim-related tasks while providing support services
  • Telephone contact with claimants, attorneys and other members of the public
  • Data entry, generating correspondence using established templates and procedures and initial claims set up
  • Other tasks as requested or required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of administrative office experience
  • Prior medical or insurance experience a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill
  • Ability to work effectively with staff
  • Detail-oriented and ability to work with moderate supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadline
  • Tech savvy
  • Must own a personal desktop computer or laptop with high speed internet access. Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory, identifying and reducing financial waste, and determining the true costs associated with manufacturing and inventory management. The successful candidate must ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and support the finance team in achieving operational and financial goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the month-end close by preparing and posting journal entries, performing variance analysis on expenses, and reconciling accounts

  • Post daily production and costing activity for Georgia and Ohio manufacturing sites, investigate and resolve variances before posting, and communicate findings with Production Management

  • Oversee and reconcile inventory receipts, participate in physical inventories, and support cycle counting efforts

  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements

  • Perform inventory reconciliations, verifying accuracy of material certifications, mill test reports, and inventory releases at docks and warehouses

  • Maintain and track monthly accruals and assist with reserve analysis for inventory

  • Conduct special financial analyses and contribute to other accounting or inventory-related functions as needed


Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in general accounting or cost accounting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software

  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory modules is a plus
