Schedule: 2nd Shift (approx. 3pm–11pm, Monday–Friday)
Location: Wayside Facility – Louisville, KY
Pay: $18.21/hr
Travel: None, except for occasional meetings or required trainings
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our Respite Program within a Wayside Facility serving individuals experiencing homelessness. This is a new position designed to support both clinical and program operations, providing hands-on assistance while partnering with our Peer Support staff to ensure the unit runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide CAN-level care to clients within the Respite unit
- Assist with daily living tasks, basic health monitoring, and documentation
- Collaborate closely with Peer Support staff to maintain a safe and supportive environment
- Help manage daily operations of the unit and support program flow
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with facility standards
- Build rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundaries
- Communicate client needs or concerns to program leadership in a timely manner
- Participate in required trainings and internal meetings
- Active CNA Certification (required)
- Previous experience working with vulnerable or high-needs populations preferred
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and de-escalation skills
- Must be comfortable working within a homeless services environment
- Ability to work the full 2nd shift schedule
