Job Opening: Operating Room (OR) Tech

IMMEDATE opening for an OR Tech to provide back-office support. The friendly and efficient Operating Room Tech will prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a sterile environment, ensuring patient safety before, during, and after surgery.

• Room patients and document vitals.

• Assist surgeons and nurses during various procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgeon to keep the operation flowing efficiently.

• Provide pre-op support, sterilizing the operating room, instruments, and equipment; set up sterile tables, drapes, and instruments tailored to the specific procedure; help position the patient for surgery.

• Provide intra-op support, passing instruments, sponges, and supplies to, operating specialized equipment (suction machines, sterilizers, diagnostic tools).

• Provide post-op support, counting sponges, needles, and instruments; clean, sanitize, and reassemble the OR for the next patient; prepare and transport specimens to the lab; wound care to patients.

• Stock exam rooms.

Required:

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a medical office as an OR or Surgical tech

• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed

• Proficient with computers (MS Office and EMR Systems)

• Organizational skills and effective written & verbal communications

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well individually and as part of a team 

• Helpful: dermatology experience
