Job Opening: Medical Biller

We are seeking a Medical Biller I to assist with a backlog of pharmacy and billing entries within Epic. This role involves researching flagged accounts, reviewing medical records, validating billing information, and updating records accurately. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable performing repetitive computer-based work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Location: Pasadena, CA / Remote

Duration: 3-Month Contract

Schedule: Monday-Friday (6:00 AM-2:30 PM, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, or 8:30 AM-5:00 PM)

Responsibilities:

• Research and review flagged pharmacy and billing entries in Epic.
• Analyze medical records to validate billing information and determine appropriate actions.
• Process billing-related updates accurately and efficiently.
• Document findings and maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain productivity while handling high-volume, detail-oriented tasks.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Understanding of CPT and ICD-9 codes.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare clerical experience (referrals, authorizations, medical records, etc.) and/or direct medical billing experience.
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to summarize findings clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Required: Experience using Epic.
• Highly Preferred: Experience with Epic Resolute (billing module).
