Job Opening: Phlebotomist

We are seeking a competent Phlebotomist who will be responsible for performing blood sampling and specimen collection with a focus on patient comfort and safety. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate laboratory procedures and high-quality patient service.

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws for lab testing.

• Collect, label, and process specimens per established protocols.

• Maintain aseptic technique to prevent contamination during specimen collection.

• Ensure proper handling and transportation of specimens to the lab.

• Document all procedures accurately in patient records and lab systems.

• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns.

• Adhere to safety guidelines and infection control protocols at all times.

• Assist in maintaining lab equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for use.

• Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and laboratory procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in blood sampling, venipuncture, and specimen collection processing

• Familiarity with laboratory environments and hospital settings preferred

• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices

• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for accurate specimen handling

• Certification in phlebotomy or relevant training is preferred
