Job Opening: Certified Orthotist Prosthetist (CPO)
Description
We are seeking a customer-focused CPO (Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist) to join the team at a leading biomedical device manufacturer. The successful candidate with high EQ will design and fabricate custom prosthetic limbs and orthopedic braces.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine prosthetic or orthotic needs
- Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices for optimal comfort and functionality
- Provide patient education on use and care of devices
- Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Follow up on appointments to monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in prosthetic and orthotic technology
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics
- Certification by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC)
- Certification as a Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist (CPO)
- 3+ years relevant work experience, working in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of the latest advancements in prosthetic and orthotic technology
- Proficiency in using computerized design and fabrication tools
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to assess and interpret patient needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Commitment to patient care and rehabilitation
