Pay Rate: $16-$17/hour

Role Overview

The Health Information Specialist I is responsible for managing and processing medical records in compliance with health information privacy laws. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process medical record requests accurately and promptly
• Review and assemble medical records for completeness
• Create digital images and scans of health documents
• Ensure all records comply with HIPAA and PHI regulations
• Maintain confidentiality and data integrity at all times

Qualifications

• Previous experience with Release of Information (ROI)
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Strong technical skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
