Compensation & Schedule:
Pay: $24-$28/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 AM/9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (schedule varies based on selected lunch period)
Training:
- 2-week onsite training program
- Week 1: Classroom training
- Week 2: Job shadowing and hands-on learning
Work Arrangement:
- Onsite with potential to go remote
- Temp to Hire
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the prior authorization process from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate submissions while reviewing payer requirements, step therapy protocols, and coverage criteria.
- Research and interpret insurance policies to support authorization approvals and identify the documentation needed for successful outcomes.
- Handle authorization denials and appeals, proactively following up with payers and escalating complex cases when appropriate.
- Must have two years of prior authorization experience
- Great written and verbal communication
