Description

  • Works independently and collaboratively as part of the healthcare team to ensure the timely processing of patient referrals in accordance with the level of priority based on the provider’s notes in the patients VHN.
  • This includes making linkages between patients and providers in an acceptable time frame to ensure continuity of care.

  • Assists patients in scheduling initial appointments as well as follow up appointments.  Completes necessary forms and assists patients in navigating through the paperwork and processes involved in making a successful referral. 
  • Handles all interactions with patients in a friendly customer service and solutions-oriented manner. Ensures timely faxing, calling and confirming of referrals. 
  • Tracks all data from referrals in patient VHN referral tracking program.  
  • Follows up with patients and/or specialty providers to determine if patient kept their scheduled appointment. 
  • Works with providers to address failed appointments in the interest of achieving best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Adheres to Coastal Health District HIPAA guidelines and compliance on privacy and information security.  Completes Annual HIPAA training.

  • Titles: Customer Service Representative
  • Location: Onsite | Louisville, KY 40219 |  After training, will be WAH (this may be once the supervisor determines they are proficient to work from home)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service Representative Role:

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and resolutions to our members. This role will take inbound calls to assist people with scheduling regular meal deliveries Telecommunication based customer interaction to answer and resolve a variety of inquiries. This is high volume, customer service environment. You’ll need to be efficient, productive, and thorough dealing with our members over the phone.

Contract Position- potential to go longer 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide resolution for customers.
  • Serve as single point of contact for customers and build a strong relationship supporting them.
  • Respond to and own consumer inquiries/issues.
  • Provide education and status on previously submitted pre-authorizations or pre-determination requests.
  • Meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of efficiency, call quality, customer satisfaction, first call resolution and attendance.
  • Conduct proactive research on assigned member accounts to identify service issues.

 

Schedule:

Training is Monday to Friday 9:00AM to 5:30PM for the first week.

After, the schedule is an 8-hour shift between Monday to Sunday from second shift- 11am start time typically

Compensation:

$17.00/hourly – weekly pay
