Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of RECENT, verifiable experience in medical benefits or prior authorizations (required).

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance claims, and benefits verification.

  • Strong communication skills to explain complex information clearly.

  • Ability to manage high call volumes and multitask effectively.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

  • Must have high-speed internet with modem access (hot spots not accepted).

Key Responsibilities:

Position Summary:
The Insurance Follow-Up Specialist is responsible for pursuing unpaid or underpaid medical insurance claims to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of insurance processes, and effective communication with payers, patients, and internal departments to resolve claim issues and reduce outstanding accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review aging reports and prioritize follow-up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid insurance claims.

  • Contact insurance companies via phone, portals, or written correspondence to resolve outstanding balances.

  • Research and resolve claim denials by identifying root causes, correcting errors, and submitting appeals when necessary.

Responsibilities:

Helping others with their general healthcare questions

Provide excellent customer service with a high volume inbound call model

Assist individuals in understanding their prescription and healthcare options

De-escalate and provide additional

Assist patients with program enrollment

Communicate with Primary Care Team and healthcare providers
