Medical Assistant (Certified Preferred)

We are hiring Medical Assistants to join a growing pulmonary practice in Knoxville, TN. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for candidates interested in helping build a new care team within an expanding organization.

Certified Medical Assistants are preferred; however, strong non-certified candidates and Certified Pharmacy Technicians with applicable experience are encouraged to apply. Certification may be obtained after hire if not already held.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours
• Pay: $21.00–$24.00/hour (based on experience)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Location: Knoxville, TN (may occasionally support Farragut, Powell, or Oak Ridge)

Key Responsibilities

• Administer injections (experience required)
• Support clinical operations during patient care days
• Complete prior authorizations and administrative tasks
• Communicate with providers, patients, and internal staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Support a collaborative, growing team environment

Qualifications

• Experience administering injections required
• Dermatology or biologic injection experience preferred
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Stable work history
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Must be nicotine-free
